In the Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Eternally Merciful,
Respected Prime Minister, Statesmen, Parliamentarians and my dear friends,
May the peace of Allah be upon you.
Today's topic of discussion is the nourishment of children in the right environment.
The highest Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) narrated, every child is born on the fitrah or natural disposition of Islam. The religion of Islam is established upon sanctity, freedom, equality, intelligence and reasoning. The environment is an industry that shapes children into a mold and bequeaths them to society. Respected Prime Minister, brilliant nations provide human generations with chaste and autonomous environment. The children raised in such an environment are an embodiment of modesty and honesty. Despite being leaders, they prefer to work and be called the nation's servants. Satanic environments construct arrogant and selfish children. Children growing up in an imperious and egocentric society, are disgraced and deprived of dignity and faith. They are opportunists that auction the nation's sovereignty and honour for dollars. Children are born blind in nations who trade their eyes (wit, insight and comprehension) for livelihood. The fountain of knowledge, may Allah be pleased with his face, Ali (r.a) said, "Societies can survive in an environment of disbelief but they perish in unjust conditions. Pharaoh was an example of injustice and he was wiped out. Nirod (Namrud) was the mark of terrorism and he was obliterated. Abu Jahal was the advocate of ignorance and he was history. Yazeed was a story of barbarianism and he was cursed.
Ladies and Gentlemen, it is true that injustice environment kills talent. A transgressive environment encourages savagery and hooliganism. The children growing up in today's Pakistan have the right to ask in the name of enlightenment, why costs for basic survival are escalating? Why poverty is thickening? Why environment is polluted? Why lawlessness is stratum? Why are citizens distraught with fear? Why is the giver of justice, Chief Justice distributing oppression?
Honourable Ladies and Gentlemen, the way of our parents, the etiquette of our teachers, the sentiments of philosophers, the role of guides and ambition of leaders - combined shape the environment. If mothers tutor their children to be truthful, the same kids grow up to be called Abdul Qadir Jilani. Students following the lesson plans of teachers like Meer become Iqbal. Children become Quaid-e-Azam when they are fed discipline, good morals and principles. Keep in mind that filthy homes can produce Chistiies but you will never find Meer Luqmani there. The wombs of dull minded societies can give birth to shameless and abhorrent practices. They can produce Meer Saddiq and Meer Jafar but not Tippu Sultan.
Respected Governors, every human being is compounded of a body and soul. Just nourishing the body give rise to beastly and debased race. While spirituality elevates it with noble qualities. Animalistic environments are responsible for criminals like of Napoleon, Hitler and Alexander. In holy settings, trains martyrs like Bilal, Muhammad bin Qasim and Haidar.
My dear fellows, lets make a pact to convert licentious environments to righteousness and virtue. Break the fetters of prejudices and gather human beings in the necklace of love. Remove the layers of thorns and gently put a stage of flowers. Crush the monster of sectarianism and adopt the attitude of enlightened consciousness instead of enlightened thought. I am confident that only through a pure and genuine environments, sages like Iqbal will rise, high-minded, upstanding and incorruptible leaders will dawn and the nation's muhsin (well wishers) like Qadeer Khan will emerge. Then the horizon will shine bright with new beginning for Pakistan.
And upon me is only the responsibility of conveying.
Long Live and forever remain Pakistan.
The children can have both a healthy and unhealthy state. This is determined by what children consume and what they do. Education determines what images and ideas children consume and what activities they can and cannot engage in. Since children are always consuming, the stimuli available in their environment must be rigidly controlled. Think about sheep, which are constantly grazing. If we place sheep in a field of poisoned grass, and they consume this grass little by little, they will eventually sicken and die. Similarly, if we surround children with unwholesome influences, then gradually they will take these in and sicken. Good education and environment shapes the health of our children's soul while bad environment causes its death. Watching warring, conniving, murderous characters in cartoons, movies and novels, makes children inevitably grow up believing that such behavior is permissible, even admirable. These characters are represented as sorcerers or double agents or masked men who change themselves into different forms or as liars because of which our children are grow up without a proper reverence for tawheed, truth and honesty. Therefore, our children deserve to learn about the Prophets (a.s) and the companions because they were wholly good, men of God, spirited, honor-loving, philosophical, knowledge-loving, and physically strong and fast and responsible only for what is good in the world.
