I am Proud to be a Muslim

I wish you could look into the mirror and see beyond your face, way past the surface of your skin. More than what the world tells you what it wants you to be, more than what your friends tells you who are. You are more than any label or stereotype, bigger than any first glance or expectation. You are more.

You are more than the scoop neck tops in bright colors, pearl earrings and golden heart locket, jeans and puma shoes. More than all the Cool Dudes XPs. More than all that frustration spent on trying to live up to the ridiculous styles in magazines. You are not defined by your age, your weight, your colour or yoqr braids. You are much, much more.

You are more than what you learn in school.  You are more than what you do for homework and what you eat. You are everything beyond the movies, video games, music and trends you love.

You are more than those secrets you keep. You are better than your mistakes. You can rise higher than everyone’s expectations. You are bigger than your goals, your dreams and your fantasy.

You are a Muslim.

Stand up and say you love Islam! You follow the Qur’an!

Don’t be ashamed.

I am proud of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). I won't forget his kindness, gentility, his fastidiousness, his simplicity, his piety. I will gladly devout my entire life to be just like him.

My body is Allah’s perfect creation, made for His adoration.

My soul is for sacrifice and contemplation.

My quests in this life are not material.

I seek closeness to Allah and pleasures of the Paradise most convivial. superior.

I have no fears; my spirits finds hope and peace in prayer.

Islam is Allah's gift.
President Barak Obama appreciates Islam for all the wonderful treasures it gave to our world.

Iqra! Read!
Islam is a religion of knowledge.
It came to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) from Allah through the revelation of the Qur'an.
Read the Qur'an to learn about Islam.

People who live Islam by following the Qur'an will inshaAllah
meet Allah!

  3. I am proud to be a Muslim Reflection
    BY: SAANIA AHMAD

There are many reasons as to why I am proud to be a Muslim. One of the most vital is the Virtues, the Prayers, and the Quran.
Islam values honesty and equality. No one is superior or inferior to another individual in Islam. If we are rich or poor, it does not matter to Allah (SWT). In his eyes we are all equal. The only thing that makes an individual superior in front of Allah is our Taqwa. We are put in ranks not by of our clothing style nor how much we know about our favourite celebrities but by the pureness in our heart.
I am proud of my religion because it is like none other. I have no doubts that it is the right religion. It brings peace to our heart when nothing else can. I have watched many videos of Non-Muslims converting to Islam and they have said countless times that throughout their whole life they felt as though a part of them was missing. As I watched those videos, I thought what about us? Those who are born Muslims yet we do not realise what a blessing we have? Many people are hopelessly searching for the truth, but we who have known it all our life are carelessly ignoring it. As these thoughts enter through my mind, I immediately thank Allah for everything. I thank him for being born into a Muslim family, having food, clothes, money, and luxuries like my iPod.
Another significant factor about why I am proud to be a Muslim is the prayers. I used to dread praying my daily prayers as a kid, but I have grown to love it. I realised that it is a way for me to truly connect with Allah (SWT) and it is one of the private times I have with him. Praying Salat brings content and peacefulness that nothing else can bring. No matter how many songs I listen to, how many video games I play, and even read books I never feel this feeling of peace and happiness that I get after praying Salah.
The Quran is another reason why I am proud to be a Muslim. We have been given a rule book on how to live our life. It clearly tells us that if we follow it, it will lead us straight to Jannah. We are also told the rewards and the punishments we will be given, if we do not follow the commands. The Quran is the most beautiful book in the whole world. I am proud to be a Muslim because I know that one of the rewards I will be given is that one day in Jannah, inshallah I will get to see Allah (SWT). My Lord, My Creator.
These are all the contributing factors that make me proud to be a Muslim. Islam is the best and most truthful religion in the whole world.
I AM PROUD TO BE A MUSLIM.
